The year of the Hermit: A Preview

I’m so excited to release my first channeled calendar! What exactly goes into creating a channeled calendar?…
- Ground my body with some light movement (walking outside and yoga).
- Create sacred space with candles, palo santo, music, chanting, and stones.
- Get into a meditative state with calming, deep breaths and self reiki.
- Pray to my Spirit Tribe of helpers and set an intention– asking them to guide me to the cards that will assist the collective the most for each month ahead. Once I feel them join me in my energetic body, I know I’m ready to pick the cards. Every tarot reader develops their own method of picking cards. For the calendar, my process involves shuffling and laying them all out face-down in an arch. I run my hand slowly over the top and pick each month one by one when my fingers feel a jolt of energy, ringing in my ears, tingling, shaking, or goosebumps along my back. These are the ways my Tribe communicates through my physical body in a way I can understand and respond to.
- Once I see all the chosen cards displayed in order, I pick up on common themes and cycles throughout the year as indicated by similarities in numbers, imagery, and suits. Since I was 8 years old I’ve used automatic writing to cultivate connection with my intuition. 9. THE HERMIT:
2025 is a year of closure and looking inward. The Hermit asks us to focus on our inner world– our subconscious programming, thought patterns, and lessons of emotional wounds. The result will be a deepened relationship with our heart and intuition. A stronger inner compass. The Hermit is reflective. Reflection helps us become an observer of our past, so that lessons learned can have space to be integrated. Integration is necessary before the Hermit leaves their cave at the top of the mountain; so they can move forward in their outer world with new wisdom, trust, and maturity. In our sacred introspection, we can seek out and meld together the places where we judge ourselves and others into separate compartments as “other” in our human experience. The Hermit helps us utilize judgement to strengthen discernment. When judgment is no longer based in fear, discernment helps us confidently establish healthy boundaries that support alignment of our physical vessel with our divine authenticity. The closure that Hermit provides as #9 in the Major Arcana helps us become whole from the sum of ALL of our parts (the good, the bad, and the fugly).
Just a heads up…
Your experience may not fit each monthly reading to a tee. This calendar provides a map- an overview of the energies occurring in 2025, according to my Divine helpers. Time is spiralic, so when or how the messages of the cards resonate with you might differ slightly from the month to month. Remember, these readings are for the collective, so take what works for you and leave the rest.
